Welcome to the Redcastle Furze Website, this site is going to be packed with info for the Residents of this great estate and about the projects going on around the estate.
The estate was built in the early sixties and was due to the influx of Businesses and Residents moving to Thetford and as the estate was prime location for the Caxton way factory estate, Redcastle Furze has now been built for around 47 years and now is a vibrant estate with a School, Local Store, Community Center, Park, Ball Park, and more shops.
The local Authorities and some residents have been working hard in their spare time to keep the estate clean and crime free so its a better place for you to live.
This site is going to be updated and have all the local news, projects, community center groups and activities going on and more, we may also have a page for residents special occasions i.e Weddings, Annerversiaries,Special Birthdays.
Also on the Contact us page we will have a contact us box so we can hear you feedback on the site, and on the RAGS (Redcastle Furze Action Group) page you will be able to comment on the projects going on and things you feel should be done around the estate.

- 1963/64 - St.Johns way Houses built
- 1963/64 - St.Martins Way built
- 1967/68 - Shopping Precinct built
- 1967/68 - School and Bungalow was built
- 1970/72 - Cannons Walk Flats built - 2003/04 Demolished
- 1968/69 - Park was first built
- 1968 - Mc.Kenzie Road Houses were built
- 1970/72 - Underpaths were built and held up for 2 weeks for Archaeole Dig after finding Saxon Bones
- 1970/72 - Metal London Road Bridge built after protests from residents
- 197? - Community Center was built
- 2004 - Prior Stephens Way Houses was built
- 2004 - Jubilee Close Houses was built
- 199? - Castleford Close Houses was built
